- Manufactured on January 8th 1963 and sold by Alfa Romeo on February 25th 1963 to their North American importer, Hoffman Motor Car Company of New York, USA.
- Believed to have been first registered new in North America in 1965.
- Constructed as a Normale car, it was converted at some time in its life to Veloce specification, with a genuine Veloce engine block (engine number prefix 121), twin carburettors, and front disc brakes. It was very appropriately registered in the North American State of Washington as A VELOCE.
- Imported into England in late 1989 and first registered here on January 23rd 1990.
- Sold by a dealer in London to a gentleman in North Yorkshire in January 1990, who drove the car home and after using it on just a few occasions, parked it in his garage. The car remained there until we purchased it from him in May 2012. Although registered for road use in England, the gentleman had never needed to fit the English number plates to the car due to its storage, and upon our purchase it still wore its appropriate A VELOCE Washington licence plate that expired in March 1990.
- This car was sold strictly as a restoration project, prior to being advertised . It was basically a good and sound car but required some restoration to the body before it could return to the road and be enjoyed. We are very happy to purchase similar projects from vendors or find them for purchasers.
