- This Vespa was restored a few years ago and has been on display ever since, and it is therefore in fantastic restored condition with just a couple of very minor chips to the paintwork collected during transportation etc. For some reason the saddle was not replaced during the restoration and shows some age to it, but never enough to warrant changing it.
- It arrived in England a couple of years ago and has not been registered with the DVLA as there was no intention of riding it on the street. It does have a NOVA declaration but does not have any other documents.
- The 125 U is one of the most rare and collectable of classic Vespas and therefore it is not unusual for replicas such as this example to be created. It starts and runs very well and operated correctly on the short ride I enjoyed on a private road. With asking prices of genuine 125 U’s often around the E20,000 to E25,000 Euro on the rare occasion they become available, this extremely high quality replica represents very good value.
