- According to the Alfa Romeo Museum archives this car was manufactured on January 11th 1961 and invoiced by the factory to their importer for North America, Hoffman Motor Company of New York, on January 18th 1961. The original colour was Alfa Red (as it is now).
- This SS is one of only 1,366 manufactured between 1957 and 1962 (this includes the very rare and early "low nose" cars) and one of only 742 manufactured in 1961.
- After being imported into Holland in November 2001 it is believed that the car was fully restored a few years later. The condition today is superb and the car drives fantastically.
- Registered for UK road use by us in April 2013. The DVLA in England originally registered this car for us as 364-YUT (as shown in the photographs), but upon realising that the "incorrect vehicle registration mark was allocated to your vehicle" they re-registered it as 378-YUT.
