- This Mini Cooper was purchased new by James Wheeler of Black and White Garage from John Cooper Garages in West Sussex with the idea of never selling it and keeping the mileage as low as possible.  However, after fourteen and a half years of enjoyable ownership it very sadly needed to find a new home  due to the loss of its storage space and was sold in March 2015.
- Registered on October 6th 2000, two days after the last Mini was manufactured.  The car was supposed to be registered on the day production finished but the insurance company failed to send our insurance documents on time in order to register the car on the appropriate day.
- The car was purchased while James lived in San Diego, California, so it was delivered in a covered transporter to a secure covered storage unit new Newbury and awaited his return to England in June 2001.
- The majority of the mileage covered to date (1,240 as of May 2014) was in the first three years of ownership with the car having covered 960 miles at its first MOT test in October 2003.
- Although the car is now never licensed for road use it is MOT’d and serviced every October 6th, on its date of registration.
- The car has never been driven in the rain, only ever getting wet during washing in the first three years of its life (it has not been wet since).
- The enormous history folder contains many letters and documents detailing the communication with John Cooper Garages for several years prior to ownership (as Rover kept postponing the end of production), during the order process and post delivery.  All of the hand books are present including the service book signed by Mike Cooper on behalf of his late Father John Cooper.  Some what fanatically, also included are every fuel station receipt noting the date and mileage that the car has ever had petrol put in the tank!
- The following options were chosen and fitted by John Cooper Garages prior to delivery:
John Cooper Garages 90 Bhp "S Works" engine conversion.
Webasto electric folding sunroof.
The silver roof, bonnet stripes and door mirrors were re-painted Old English White.
Walnut dashboard and door cappings replaced the turned aluminium fittings.
Lowered suspension.
Radio/CD player.
John Cooper signature script on the door bottoms.
Over-riders were fitted to the bumpers.
- This is an absolutely faultless example of one of the last Rover Mini Coopers to be produced.  It has always been stored undercover, mostly in the showroom of Black and White Garage.
- The number plate 13-JW is not included in the sale of the car and will be removed prior to the car being sold.
