This gorgeous little Italian motorcycle is a very rare model of an MV Agusta that even some marque enthusiasts are unaware of. Its original licence document states that it was first licensed on October 15th 1966.

50cc motorcycles were extremely popular in Italy during the 1960's and 70's, and MV Agusta was clever in designing their 48cc motorcycle (that was aimed at the younger generation) to closely resemble the larger engined models that the young riders parents would have.  Particularly unusual for a 50cc motorcycle is that its little engine is a 4-stroke, whereas most similar sized engines were 2-stroke.

This excellent example was restored in Italy about three years ago and has been in storage since.  I recently brought it to England from Italy, and although I won't be registering it with the DVLA for road use, I have carried out a NOVA (Customs) declaration.

The motorcycle is in very good restored condition with just a few very minor chips from storage and transportation.  Its  48cc 4-stroke engine starts easily and runs very well, and on my short ride around private roads all three twist-grip selected gears engaged and operated as they should.

Liberty engines are most unusual for a 50cc motorcycle as they are 4 stroke - normally 50cc engines are 2 stroke.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a very unusual and attractive sporting Italian motorcycle.
