- According to the frame plate this rare Moto Guzzi sports tourer was manufactured during 1994, following which the well-known Italian motorcycle dealer Three-Cross Motorcycles in Wimborne, Dorset, sold it new and first registered it for road use on June 10th 1996.
- The first owner was a Mr Roger Martin of Finedon, near Wellingborough in Northamptonshire, and it has since been enjoyed by just three further owners.  The last two owners lived just over a mile apart from each other, the first having acquired it in May 2007 before selling it to the owner prior to me in March 2008.
- I acquired motorcycle in February 2017 and it was clear that it had not been used for some years with the road tax disc attached to the front wheel having expired in December 2005.  It's long-term storage appears to have been planned as various components had been coated in a protectant.  I arranged for the Strada to go straight to Richard Boshier at Chiltern Moto Classics in Buckinghamshire and he carried out a thorough inspection and service.  Works included overhauling the carburettors, replacing fuel hoses, flushing the fuel tank, fitting new spark plugs, changing the engine oil, replacing the brake pads and overhauling the front brake master cylinder.  Following an MOT test, a thorough road test was then carried out by both Richard and myself which showed the motorcycle to be both powerful and comfortable, perfect for long-distance touring.
- The 1000 Strada is a very rare Moto Guzzi model and this example is even more so due to the odometer stating it has covered just 3,600 miles from new (5,700 kilometres).  It is in very good original condition and comes with its original service book and hand book plus some MOT certificates from 2002 and 2005.  It is for sale due to the purchase of a nearly new Moto Guzzi and space and time to ride both are restricted.
- This motorcycle was sold in September 2017 very soon after advertising it.
