- According to the Alfa Romeo Museum archives this car was manufactured on April 1st 1964 and invoiced by the factory to Alfa Romeo Frankfurt on May 22nd 1965. The original paint colour was red.
- Purchased by the owner in Oklahoma, America, in the summer of 2007 and imported into England.
- The owner was informed at the time of his purchase that the car had recently been restored and the engine and gearbox rebuilt (in America). Although there was no documentation to substantiate this claim by the American vendor, the superb condition that the car presented itself in indicated that it was true.
- Prepared for UK road use and MOT’d and registered with the DVLA by ourselves for the owner in December 2007.
- Driven on possibly less than five occasions by the owner and his car enthusiast Daughter, it is this lack of use that prompts its sale.
- Recent works by Giulietta expert Chris Robinson of RM Restoration include replacing the original single Solex carburettor with twin Weber carburettors, thereby greatly improving performance.
- As this Spider has experienced minimal use since it was restored it is still in superb condition, and with the addition of a Zagato styled hard top and its enhanced performance, this is an extremely fun, beautiful, and usable sports car.
