Driving Directions
From London
M4 to junction 13. Head North off the round-about sign posted to A34 Oxford, Chieveley and Hermitage. Just over the bridge after the round-about, turn left onto the slip-road just before joining the A34 sign posted to Chieveley and Hermitage. At the top of the slip road on the bridge, turn right towards Hermitage. After two miles the road will end at a mini-roundabout. Turn right towards Newbury on the B4009. After approximately 3/4 mile take the first left up Red Shute Hill sign-posted to Cold Ash and Thatcham. Black and White will be found at the top of the hill when the road has straightened and leveled out.
From Oxford (the North)
A34 south to the M4 (Junction 13). Go all the way round the round-about and come off the round-about sign posted to A34 Oxford, Chieveley and Hermitage. Just over the bridge after the round-about, turn left onto the slip-road just before joining the A34 sign posted to Chieveley and Hermitage. At the top of the slip road on the bridge turn right towards Hermitage. After two miles the road will end at a mini-roundabout. Turn right towards Newbury on the B4009. After approximately 3/4 mile take the first left up Red Shute Hill towards Cold Ash. Black and White will be found at the top of the hill when the road has straightened and leveled out
From Swindon (the West)
M4 to Junction 13. Take the first exit off the round-about sign posted to A34 Oxford, Chieveley and Hermitage. Just over the bridge after the round-about, turn left onto the slip-road just before joining the A34 sign posted to Chieveley and Hermitage. At the top of the slip road on the bridge, turn right towards Hermitage. After two miles the road will end at a mini-roundabout. Turn right towards Newbury on the B4009. After approximately 3/4 mile take the first left up Red Shute Hill towards Cold Ash. Black and White will be found at the top of the hill when the road has straightened and leveled out.
From Winchester (the South)
North up the A34 to the A34 / M4 Interchange. Turn off the A34 just before going under the M4 sign posted to Chieveley and Hermitage. Go straight over the round-about passing under the M4 sign posted to A34 Oxford, Chieveley and Hermitage. Just over the bridge after the round-about, turn left onto the slip-road just before joining the A34 sign posted to Chieveley and Hermitage. At the top of the slip road on the bridge, turn right towards Hermitage. After two miles the road will end at a mini-roundabout. Turn right towards Newbury on the B4009. After approximately 3/4 mile take the first left up Red Shute Hill towards Cold Ash. Black and White will be found at the top of the hill when the road has straightened and leveled out.
